Moving house

June 28, 2006

I’m moving to my new flat on Saturday.  Please pray that it goes smoothly and that enough people would be available to help.  It’s also the day of the England match.  I’m fed up of watching them on my own so I’m gong to go into town.  Please pray I would bump into some friendly people because I’m quite nervous of going into a bar on my own.  Thank you!!emoticon

Hello world!

June 26, 2006

Hi there!  This is the place where you can keep up to date with life in France.  I’ll add pictures and stories during the month.  I can’t put everthing in my monthly update letter, so this page will allow you get a deeper insight into my work and join with me in prayer in a more informed way.  Or if you simply want to see where I live and what I do, then you can!emoticon

This is me outside the church where I work.  it is called L’Eglise Evangelique Baptiste de l’OrlĂ©nais.

And this is the very first picture of my new apartment!  I move in on Saturday, it will be a rush to get everything sorted before heading off to the pub to watch England play!  ;-)

As you can see it is right next to the entrance door to the building so I won’t have much privacy on my balcony.  But it is about 30 seconds from the church and just across the road from a big Asda type supermarket - so I can’t complain.  In fact I can only thank God because I’ve being praying for a flat in this building since January!!  I visited the flat on the very first day I arrived.  I just popped into the caretaker’s office as I was walking home and asked if there were any flats for rent!  How good is God?!
