Arghhhhhhh!
Life is not easy here. Anything that could go wrong is going wrong….and whan it’s 37 degrees outside and 28 in my flat there is not much you can do except sweat.
I bought a second hand washing machine, cooker and fridge. The men came to install it but the washing machine tube was too short and it is now placed in the middle of the small kitchen. When they tried to install the cooker they asked me for the gas pipe. What gas pipe? Oh, the one that you didn’t tell me that I would need to buy when YOU come to install the cooker I bought from your shop. So that is now sitting in the kitchen and I can’t use it. I have bought a pipe but nobody is free to fit it for me and I don’t know how. Then the fridge…well, it works, but it makes a terrible noise like it has indegestion all the time. I’m sure I’ve never heard a fridge do that before. Anyway I rang and they can come next Thursday. Oh what wonderful service.
The gas and electiricity people don’t believe me when I say I have gas and electricity in the flat. They rang me 4 times yesterday to tell me that I don’t have power or gas. How stupid! The phone I was listening to them on was being powered by their energy. A man came this morning to verify that I’m not stupid or imagining light and hot water. What?! At least they believe me now!
I have a wardorbe that I can’t put together and I sofa in a shop that I can’t collect. Arghhhhhh. When you don’t have friends and family close by to help life can be a real pain.
