God is Good!

May 10, 2009

I’m learning!  A few years ago I would have run into things like a bull in a china shop.  (Some of you still think I do!)

I mentioned a while back about the refugees and the possibility of doing a meal each week with them.  Before I would have gone marching into the pastors office, told him about the lonley kids, told him how I was going to organise meals, and asked him how the church was going to help!

Life is a good thing…it teaches you lots of stuff!

This time I prayed, and asked you to pray.  And I waited.  Wow!  Stacey waiting…a mini mircale!  Anyway, the pastor’s wife (who was teaching me to knit at the time!!) asked me how I thought we could help the refugees…so we started to discuss and plan things together.  She is going to talk with the church.  We might be able to organise one meal afternoon before the end of the school year and then if it all goes well, they will start properly in September.  (By which time I will have already moved on.)

How good is God?!  He has got it all under control and his timing and methods are so much better than my messy ones.  I know I shouldn’t be surprized, but I’m glad I am.  It makes life so much more fun!!  emoticon

  1. Hi
Just a quick note, I am studying ECM website and then link to some interesting blogs, including yours.
God supports all of us by His great love and grace, so that we can enjoy our life in any circumstance. Just to let you know I will especially pray for your plan to support poor children/ teenagers for the meal and game time in evening. Keep good work for Jesus!!

    Greetings from Taipei
