Momentum

August 28, 2009

I’ve been in Shepton Mallet in Sommerset for the past week at a big Christian event called Momentum.  I was manning the ECM stand in the exhibition hall with a guy called Don.  The event was fantastic and I was so thankful that I was able to be a part of it.  The worship was amazing and the teaching excellent.  I managed to meet up with lots of old friends and make many new ones…all while eating too much cake!

We were on the stand 8 hours a day which was pretty long.  There were quiet periods when it was really boring but during that time we had fun with the other exhibitors!  Then when people came by, it was a real privilege to be able to talk with them and give them info on mission in Europe.  Who knows, maybe they’ll be my new team mates out in France?!

It was a really encouraging time to recieve during the worship and teaching and also see how God is moving in people’s lives and encourage them to seek His will.  Exciting!

Up North

August 20, 2009

My sister has been here this week and my dad took the week off work, so we have been having some ‘family time’!  We went up to a big park in Blackpool and had a wander, we went over to Liverpool and did the docklands museums and the 2 cathedrals, and today they’ve gone off to the lake district to climb some muddy hills in the rain.  I stayed at home and went into town with mum!  :-)

I’m off to Momentum on Saturday.  (Sister event to Soul Survivor)  I’m helping out on the ECM stand in the market place.  So if you’re there, come and say hello.  I’m really looking forward to going.  It’s going to be great to be at a Christia festival and it’s exciting to be able to speak to young people about coming to work in Europe.  Pray for sun!

Back home…

August 15, 2009

and it’s raining and blowing a gale.  Ergh, British weather is very very very rubbish.  Although the grass is almost luminous, which makes a change from the brown burnt stuff in France.

I got back to the UK on Tuesday night, after lugging 2 suitcases and a big ruck sack on 5 different trains.  Horrible.  I will never ever do that again.  After 24hrs to unpack, I was back on a train and heading up to Edinburgh for a health check.  (required by ECM)

This time next Saturday I’m off to Momentum to help out on the ecm stand.  But until then my little sister is coming for the week!  Yay!

Also…I have had an ice cream every day since I came back.  The diet starts on Monday.  emoticon
